Upcoming VGP Cup
Please be advised of the upcoming VGP Cup Tournament to be held at Intramuros Golf on 28 May 2026. This event shall serve as the first leg of a two-leg tournament series. Participants are advised that meals will be served starting at 1100H, followed by the official opening program at 1130H. Tee-off is scheduled promptly at 1200H (12:00 noon).
Kindly proceed to the Mulligan Room upon arrival. See you there, and best of luck to all participants!

Rules of the Game
🏌️ FORMAT OF PLAY – STROKE PLAY
Individual competition
Each player plays their own ball
All strokes are counted
Lowest total score wins
🏆 TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE (2 LEGS)
Tournament consists of two (2) legs
This event is Leg 1
Scoring:
Scores are recorded per leg
Final ranking is based on cumulative score
👉 Total Score = Leg 1 + Leg 2
Lowest combined score after both legs = Champion
🔁 MULLIGAN RULE
Each player is allowed:
1 Mulligan – Front 9 (Holes 1–9)
1 Mulligan – Back 9 (Holes 10–18)
✔ Free re-hit (no penalty)
❗ Restrictions:
Not allowed on:
Putting (green)
Special award holes
🌊 DROP RULE (OUT OF BOUNDS ONLY)
When Drop is Allowed:
· ONLY when ball is Out of Bounds (OB)
Procedure:
Drop near the point where the ball crossed the boundary
Add +1 penalty stroke
❗ Determination of Out of Bounds
A ball shall be considered Out of Bounds when:
It lies beyond white stakes or boundary markers, OR
It is visibly outside the course limits
👉 In case of doubt:
Decision shall be based on majority agreement of the flight/group
Tournament Committee decision shall be final in case of dispute
⚠️ Important Reminder
If ball is not OB, it must be:
Played as it lies, OR
Player may use a mulligan (if available)
⛳ PACE OF PLAY RULE – DOUBLE PAR FORMAT
Maximum Strokes per Hole (Double Par Rule)
The maximum score a player may record per hole shall be double the par of the hole
📏 Stroke Limits per Hole:
Par 3 → Max 6 strokes
Par 4 → Max 8 strokes
Par 5 → Max 10 strokes
Pick-Up Rule
Once a player reaches the maximum allowed strokes:
The player shall pick up the ball immediately
Record the corresponding maximum score for that hole
Pace of Play Reminder
Players are encouraged to pick up earlier if:
They are delaying the group, or
Completion of the hole is no longer practical
GENERAL REMINDERS
Count all strokes honestly
Farthest from the hole plays first
Ensure safety before hitting
Maintain pace with the group ahead
🏆 SPECIAL TOURNAMENT AWARDS
💥 Longest Drive
Longest tee shot on designated hole
Must land on the fairway
🎯 Most Accurate Drive (Straightest Drive)
Ball closest to the center line of the fairway
❗ Conditions:
Tee shot only
One (1) attempt per player
No mulligans allowed
OTHER AWARDS: [if each caddy can count]
· Most Balls in the water for the entire game
· Most Balls in the bunker for the entire game
